This is truly a very tragic day for Australia. Someone who we fought would be in our lives forever has now left the screen for the last time.

Charles 'Bud' Tingwell really was a one of a kind Aussie character. For several decades he played many roles on radio, television, theatre and film. He has appeared on many Australian made shows including Homicide, The Flying Doctors, Blue Heelers, Round the Twist, All Saints, Neighbours, G.P. and Prisoner: Cell Block H. I could go on about the many shows and films he has appeared in but that could take all week.
This just proves what a true inspiration he is to the Australia Television and Film Industries!

But for me, my all time favourite Bud moment has to be when he was on The Castle. The scene where his character gave his speech about the Kerrigan Family and how no one should ever take their home away from them. I still remember that scene after all these years.

Bud is survived by his son Christopher and daughter Virginia, who is also an actress.

RIP Bud, you'll be sorely missed mate!!!!!

Well another year has now passed and it looks like the future is looking bright for Australian drama. This year, the Logies had many drama shows nominated including the two biggest shows Underbelly and Packed to the Rafters. PttR picked up six awards, including the Gold Logie which went to Rebecca Gibney (which was a huge shock as I thought Ian Smith was going to get it).

Underbelly did an amazing job as well by picking up three awards, including Most Outstanding Actor and Actress. Not bad for a
show which is still causing headaches for Channel
Nine
as some of the episodes are still banned for viewing in Victoria.

Home and Away managed to get one award, which went to Todd Lasance for Most Popular Actor. His character Aden Jefferies has been great and this was proven during the show's sexual abuse storyline last year.

Sadly the awards were abit boring when it came to the main host. Gretel Killeen may have been a great host for Big Brother but she failed big time with people commenting on the popular SMS style networking site Twitter, that her hosting skills were in bad taste and the worst anyone has ever seen since Wendy Harmer back in 2002.

For me my all time favourite Logies moment was the Myles Barlow's Review segment, which showed a few stars getting into trickly situations including those At the Movies presenters from the ABC.

Overall next year I would like to someone like Dave Hughes, Shaun Micallef or even the Chaser Boys take charge as that would make for a very interesting evening.

Until next time, lets hope the Logie Awards will finally live up to its name and return to its original roots as a great entertaining awards cermony!!

Sorry it has been so long but I wasn't sure if I was able to continue with my website. Now thanks to the wonderful world that is blogging, I can offer you guys a much easier and stylist place to look around!

Since many other blogs and websites have heaps of great info already, I decided to create a gateway blogging site where you can find the information that you need. All you have to do is click on the right link.

I will also now have a YouTube and Facebook page for people to view clips and comment about their views on Australian Television.

If anyone has any problems, please let me know by posting a comment on this site's FB page!!
